Dr. Katie Kotzur is dedicated to helping patients maintain healthy, confident smiles while building relationships that last a lifetime. A native of Bullard, TX, she brings a friendly and approachable style to dentistry, combining her clinical expertise with a genuine passion for connecting with patients. She loves that her work allows her to care for families not just in emergencies, but through ongoing preventive care that keeps them healthy for years to come.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Kotzur knew she wanted to become a dentist during her junior year of high school in 2014 after shadowing Dr. Morgan. She admired how he built trust with his patients and treated them like family. Witnessing the lasting connections he developed showed her how meaningful a career in dentistry could be. She wanted a profession where she could care for patients and their families long-term, supporting their oral health with both skill and compassion.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

Dr. Kotzur completed her undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University and earned her dental doctorate at Texas A&M College of Dentistry. She has gained experience working at both dental service organizations and private practices, as well as serving as a temporary dentist. Before dental school, she worked as a dental lab technician assistant and volunteered with Texas Mission of Mercy, Mission Arlington, and the Mission Health Center dental clinic in Fort Worth. She also participated in a dental mission trip to Bolivia with Medical Ministry International. Dr. Kotzur is BLS certified, laser certified, and trained in level 1 anesthesia. Today, she remains committed to undergoing continuing education to expand her skills and expertise so that she can offer the quality care her patients deserve!

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

Aside from dentistry, Dr. Kotzur loves spending time with her husband and their son. They recently returned home to be closer to family. Outside of family life, she loves attending sporting events and concerts, going to the lake for fishing, tubing, or wakeboarding, and playing volleyball and pickleball. A fun fact about Dr. Kotzur is that she doesn’t like coffee.
